So these are the pictures I'm sending to Erik tomorrow. I thought you guys would like to see them too! Love ya!

My mango, guava, and melona shave ice. Erik used to always do ice carvings with his so I thought I'd give it a try and send it to him.

Falling in the parking lot sucks, but Avery was a champ!

Talking to Joey on the phone. I love her reaction to whatever he'd said.

Our paper chain. 29 more links til we get to see Daddy!

I got bored during commercials while I was watching The Queen on AMC the other day. This is the result.

"Just missin' Daddy."

My beautiful girl

She wanted to put a flower in my hair too.

Avery decided to get her ears pierced yesterday. We ended up having to do them one ear at a time because the girl on Avery's left ear messed up and didn't squeeze the gun after the "1,2,3." Right after this picture was taken and through Avery's cries and my comforting the girl said, "Oh..." I told her, "Oh please tell me that went through..." She shook her head and said, "No it didn't..." I wanted to scream at her. I knew I'd regret it so I held it in and focused on comforting Aves. However, I couldn't hold in the acidic "GOSH DANGIT!" that slipped out right after she told me. She immediately started apologizing, and trying to get Avery to sit facing forward instead of sitting cradled in my arms. I finally had to tell the girl, "You're just gonna have to do it like this because she's not gonna let go and all this time between is just freaking her out more." I tried not to be harsh but I still think it came out that way. Avery's crying stayed the same pitch and decible level as she got the second piercing. As soon as the girl stepped away Aves and I were out of the chair and on to distractions. She stopped crying less than 30 seconds after we left the chair. Poor girl. I still feel like I should have tried harder to talk her out of it.

Putting on a happy face. About 5 minutes after the piercing.

Not quite back to her cheerful little self, but doing much better.

She was really happy with her earing choice.

Avery with her frozen yogurt after getting her ears pierced.

Avery took this picture of me. I thought she did a really awesome job. :)

I let her pick anything out in the store and she chose this pink blush brush. :)

Lyric would love to get her ears pierced, but Christian is so against it. Christian's sisters couldn't pierce their ears until they were eighteen.

If I'm lucky I'll talk him down to letting her do it at twelve, lol.

Or maybe I'll send him to bootcamp. ;)

P.S. Love your paper chain.
